Challange
A key challenge today in enjoying urban parks is overcrowding. The influx of visitors, both local and from surrounding areas, limits available space, creates excessive noise, and can prevent families from comfortably enjoying outdoor activities.
Solution
"Zulat" offers a solution for finding nearby parks based on location, giving users real-time updates on crowd density to help avoid busy areas. It personalizes park recommendations based on activity preferences, such as family outings, jogging, or relaxation, ensuring users have a more enjoyable outdoor experience. By integrating data on park facilities and current crowd levels, Zulat makes it easy for users to choose the ideal park for their needs.
Competitors
Our competitors consist of large, well-known apps
in the market. However, we have created a unique blend of key features, enhancing them by identifying our uniqueness and leveraging innovative technologies to improve the user experience.

Users Questionnaire
As part of our research, we conducted a survey among parents to understand the challenges they face during the preparation stages for a park visit and upon their arrival.
13
Parents
4-12
Children's ages
Conclusions:

Crowded parks
All parents reported that the parks are crowded during the hours they visit.

Preparation stage
Many parents reported that preparing for a park visit is more exhausting and tiring than the walk to the park itself.

Divisions into activities
We identified the most popular activities among parents and children in the park and what they consider essential in a park they visit.
Persona

Sara-
31 years old
General:
lives in Ra'anana with her husband and their two children – Guy, 5 years old and Amit, 2 years old.
Frustrations:
Sarah takes her children to the park two or three times a week. She either accompanies them herself or brings all the necessary equipment to her parents’ house, who then take the children. When choosing a park, she considers the level of crowding and its proximity to her home.
Goals and Needs:
Since her children are of different ages, Sarah requires a variety of equipment and a space that is suitable for both their needs and developmental stages. She often visits the park in the afternoon after work hours, when parks tend to be very crowded.
Key Research Findings
Problem 1: Knowing the Park Crowding Index
Parents cannot predict a park's crowd levels, except by relying on past experiences or checking in person.
Our competitors do not offer real-time crowding data. Instead, they rely on general familiarity. In this case, Users often face a lengthy preparation phase before reaching the park, only to find out if the trip was worthwhile.
Problem 2: Matching Location to Children's Interests
Parents tend to choose parks based on their children's interests and hobbies. As a result, they sometimes have to compromise on park quality in favor of proximity or lower crowd levels.
"Zulat" was created to connect all these elements and make it easier for parents to plan and prepare for a park visit. It allows them to enjoy the process and focus their energy on quality time with their children. Additionally, it enhances the experience for children by ensuring they can enjoy a park that suits their interests and hobbies.
App focus points:

Considering two key parameters: location and interests.

Using innovative technology to provide reliable crowd data through park environment scans and analysis.

Simplifying preparation for parents.

The User Interface
The app's color palette represents the park crowding index, inspired by the green and orange of a traffic light. We softened the colors for a more pleasant feel and chose black instead of red for better balance and readability.
The graphic language is light and playful, reminding parents that quality time with their children can be fun, thanks to our app. It also makes it easy to organize and find the perfect park effortlessly.
